Collaboration with SmartLiving 360 Releases Customer Journey Map

AgingWell Hub Creates Ground-Breaking Work To Re-Imagine Living Environments of the Future

Baltimore, Md. (September 15, 2018) AgingWell Hub released a Customer Journey Map based on the perceived prototypical needs of middle-income single woman in her 70s. AgingWell Hub, co-founded with Philips, is a cross-sector collaborative of the Global Social Enterprise Initiative (GSEI) at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. SmartLiving 360 is one of the collaborative partners and worked specifically on this effort.

This deliverable outlined a forward-looking experience map of choices for Boomers with a particular focus on the opportunity to re-imagine the living environments of the future.

“One of the challenges with today’s options for housing for older adults is that they don’t adequately consider likely changes in consumer preferences as well incremental changes or new approaches,” says Frederick. “This is the first effort of its kind to use design thinking principles to map out a customer journey to identify gaps and options for new solutions.”

The work is available for free download at the https://www.agingwellhub.org. Efforts on currently underway to raise funds to create the next iteration of the customer journey map.
